Southern Californians can enjoy a full season of festive events, which include DJ Spotlights, Learn to Curl, Silent Skate Party and Polar Bear Skate: The LA Edition.

Metrolink riders can avoid traffic jams and parking fees to the ice rink with Metrolink’s $10 Weekend Day Pass on either Saturdays or Sundays, which allows unlimited rides throughout the system and transfers to Metro’s light rail and subway system at no additional cost.

Each year, the Bai Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square celebrates the start of its season with a literal “ice breaking” ceremony, where a large ice sculpture is shattered. The epic christening includes a performance from Disney’s ALADDIN, impressive skate performances by the California Gold Synchronized Skaters, special guests and more.

DJ Spotlights on select Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Visitors can showcase their skating and dance skills as they swirl about the rink to a litany of popular songs selected by DJ HowLy. The 2017 series officially begins on November 16.

Arabian Nights: Disney’s ALADDIN theme skate every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Guests will imagine themselves on a magic carpet ride as this unique new event will feature special purple rink lighting and music from the ALADDIN Original Broadway Cast Recording.

Learn to Curl on December 17, January 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Visitors are encouraged to channel their inner Winter Olympian at this beginners’ curling pop-up hosted by the Hollywood Curling Club. Advanced registration is required.

Silent Skate Party.
On Thursday, November 30 and Wednesday, December 13 at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., visitors are invited to dress up in their most festive attire as they partake in a fun-filled holiday skate party. There will be three different channels of music to dance/skate to, and the event is open to individuals of all ages.

Polar Bear Skate: The LA Edition on Sunday, January 1, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Experience Canada’s Polar Bear Plunge done the California way. Skaters are invited to ring in the New Year…in their chicest, wildest, and most inventive beach attire, of course. Spectators will judge as prizes are awarded based on theme, originality, and overall appearance.

The Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square will open for its unprecedented 17th season hosted by Olympic Silver Medalist, four-time US National Pair Champion and US Figure Skating Hall of Famer Peter Carruthers, with a special live solo performance from “Wicked” the Musical, direct from The Pantages, with skating performances by the City of Angels Ice Theater Ensemble, Snoopy from Knott’s Merry Farm and National Novice Pairs Champions Ai Setoyama and David Botero.

Knott’s Merry Farm Presents, a Snoopy Skating Showcase Tuesday, December 2 / 4:00pm.

“Doggone” fun for all ages. Everyone’s loveable pup and friends perform a special “mini” showcase with festive music and holiday costumes as a prelude to the holiday skating spectacular “Merry Christmas Snoopy,” at Knott’s Merry Farm this holiday season.

Hot 92.3 Old School Skate Night: Saturday, December 6, 2014 / 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

Old School DJ spins up your favorite tunes from Hot 92.3 while their street team offers   giveaways and interactive fun. Take home a memento picture from their photo booth.

“Wicked” Wednesdays: Wednesdays in December: 10, 17, 24, 31 beginning at 7:00pm.

Special “Wicked” fun in celebration of the award-winning musical at the Pantages Theatre. The ice will be aglow in a vibrant green while skaters enjoy songs from the musical soundtrack. Contests provide patrons the opportunity to win free tickets to see “Wicked” live at the Pantages Theatre.

Single in the City: Thursday, December 11 / 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

Grab your single friends and head to the rink to “break the ice” at a fun single’s night mixer complete with interactive games, door prizes and refreshments.

Winter Holiday Festival presented by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks: Saturday and Sunday, December 13, 14 / 12:00pm to 7:00pm.

102.7 KIIS FM’s EDM Glow in the Dark Night: Friday, December 19, 2014 / 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

Go glow in this skatefest sponsored by KIIS-FM. Wear your free glow in the dark accessories when you skate to KIISFM tunes spun by their favorite DJ. The fun includes contest giveaways, prizes and a photo booth.

104.3 MYfm Family Fun Day: Sunday, December 21, 2014 / 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

MYfm DJ spins hit tunes. Their street team has something fun for all ages with a photo booth, prizes and engaging contests.

Polar Bear Skate: The Los Angeles Edition: Thursday, January 1, 2015/ 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

A new holiday tradition that’s so LA. Celebrate the popular frozen New Year’s Day Canadian tradition with a twist.  Grab your sunglasses and swim suit to “take the plunge” with a skate around the rink. Skaters of all ages are invited to dress in beach attire for an invigorating welcome to 2015. The first 25 participants will receive a plush polar bear hat.
